Removable Full Dentures: Case 1

When people are missing some, but not all of their teeth they often have several options to consider when deciding on how to replace them. Today implants and sometimes fixed bridges are for many reasons the best options. However, sometimes the amount of work involved or the cost play a role in people’s decisions. Often a removable partial denture is a satisfactory alternative. This is a case where a patient had a failed fixed bridge and elected to have a removable partial denture made rather than going through more expensive and lengthy implant therapy. He did not want to have unsightly metal clasps impacting his smile. What we did was save just the roots of two of his teeth to use as retention for his denture. The cost was minimized while at the same time restoring his mouth in a cosmetically acceptable fashion.
