Implant Restorations: Case 13

This is another case involving congenitally missing teeth (missing from birth). In this case it’s the upper cuspids or canines as they are sometimes called. This young man came to my office with the implants already in place. They were not in the best possible positions to restore with optimum esthetics, but they were within acceptable limits. He was tired of wearing his removable temporary and wanted to get on with restoring his implants ASAP. There were some additional things that could have been accomplished to achieve more ideal soft tissue contour, but his smile did not show this to a significant degree and it would have added additional cost and time to accomplish. This is a compromise that is frequently made when the cosmetic consequences are minimal. The results were good despite the compromises.
