Implant Restorations: Case 12

This is a type of case that every dentist has seen many times over the years. This young man had congenitally missing lateral incisors (teeth missing from birth). In the past this might have been treated by making some kind of bridge, either fixed or removable. If the patient is willing to live with some kind of temporary until they’re old enough for growth to have completed implants are the best way to go. They last the longest, look the best and don’t require alteration of the adjacent teeth. This is really a straight forward kind of case. Some additional thing could have been accomplished to give it a more ideal cosmetic outcome but the patient didn’t want it and his mom was was okay with that too. They were both thrilled with the result.
