Full Mouth Rehabilitation: Case 1

This patient sought treatment because of decay that undermined two of her four front teeth, but she was very unhappy with the way her mouth looked. She felt her teeth were “too big” and she didn’t like the color. In fact, many of the teeth were decayed. Her two upper lateral incisors were beyond the point at which they could be conventionally restored and still look good in proportion to the neighboring teeth. She also had suffered advanced wear on her lower teeth. After creating diagnostic wax-ups to determine what could be accomplished before we started, custom made temporary crowns and bridges were fabricated to function during treatment. The two hopeless teeth were extracted and implants placed. While she was waiting for the implants to heal in her lower front six teeth were restored with porcelain veneers. We then restored her remaining upper teeth and implants with crowns and bridge work. The change in her appearance is quite dramatic. Look at the difference in the shape of her smile as well as the size and color changes of her teeth. (For a similar case also see case number 1 under Implant Restorations)
